    THE REALITY GAP

AI moved quickly into the enterprise.
The work didn’t moved as fast.

    AI Vector

Enterprise adoption has accelerated, but day-to-day workflows are still catching up.

New research across more than 1,300 executives, managers and directors found a significant gap between how far leadership believes AI has progressed—and what is actually happening inside day-to-day workflows.

Employees are still manually extracting data, converting files, preparing documents, chasing signatures and moving information between disconnected tools. Sensitive documents are finding their way to unvetted AI services. And organisations continue adding technology while struggling to prove where AI is actually saving time.

On 29 October, Exsead and Nitro are bringing a small group of senior technology and operations leaders together in Melbourne to discuss what comes next.

Not another conversation about AI potential—a practical discussion about where AI is delivering, where it isn’t, and what has to change to turn investment into measurable productivity.

    THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE CONVERSATION

    62%

of managers say employees spend 6+ hours each week on manual document tasks.

    12%

of managers say AI is fully deployed across their department.

    44%

of managers confirm work documents have been uploaded to free online tools without checking who operates them.

    95%

of executives say their organisation is evaluating or planning to consolidate its document-tool stack within 12 months.

And where document AI is genuinely embedded, 99% of executives and 93% of managers report measurable outcomes.
The problem isn’t whether AI can work. It’s getting it out of isolated tools and pilots and into the work people actually do.
